Tailor?Made Vinylogous Urethane Vitrimers Based on Binary and Ternary Block and Random Copolymers: An Approach toward Reprocessable Materials

Vitrimers are promising reprocessable materials. To tune their properties, microphase separated block copolymers as backbones play an essential role in the thermal and mechanical properties of resulting nanostructured networks. In this study, various narrow disperse di- triblock containing a hydroxyethyl methacrylate and, for comparison, random same comonomers synthesized controlled manner by photoiniferter reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization. Subsequently, modified acetoacetate groups cross-linked with diamines. After curing, copolymer-based vitrimers exhibit excellent compared to ones; moreover, characteristic can be adjusted different types amounts As transamination reaction is thermoreversible exchange reaction, therefore recyclable The combining two these classes soft materials, namely copolymers, leads materials broad spectrum adjustable applications improved end-of-life management, when permanently crosslinked thermosets.
